Dodd once again headlines No. 3 Women's Volleyball award winners

ETOBICOKE – No. 3 Humber women's volleyball once again garnered numerous league accolades when the conference announced its yearly awards, which are determined by a poll of the OCAA coaches.

Once again, headlining the awards for Humber was third-year standout Erika Dodd, who joined some elite company for the Hawks. Dodd joined Hall of Famers Christine Rudics (1996, 1999), Landis Doyle (2009, 2011), and Kelly Nyhof (2012, 2013, 2014) as the only players to earn multiple All-Canadian selections. The Uxbridge native was also named the West Division Player of the Year and first-team all-star for the second straight season after setting new career highs in points, kills, aces, and digs.

Joining Dodd as a first-team all-star was Cassidy Andrews and rookie setter Kennedy Williscroft. After Humber finished the season with the best swing percentage in the conference, setter Williscroft was also named to the all-rookie team. Caitlyn Labelle, who finished third in the OCAA in swing percentage, was also named to the all-rookie squad.

Seniors Keyome Ellis and Te-Anna Stephenson were recognized as second-team all-stars, along with second-year libero Reese Cholette.

No. 3 Humber will now set its sights on winning its third straight provincial title, beginning with Conestoga in the quarter-final round on Feb. 17 at 6 pm. The match will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.
