ETOBICOKE – No. 4 Humber women's volleyball received numerous league accolades Monday afternoon when the OCAA announced its annual awards as determined by a polling of the conference's coaches.

Transfer Keyome Ellis led the way for Humber, earning CCAA All-Canadian honours averaging 3.2 points per set on 66 kills, 13 service aces and 11 blocks, totalling 90 points and leading Humber to a West Division title.

Erika Dodd made an immediate statement as soon as she stepped on the court for the Hawks, earning OCAA Rookie of the Year honours. The Uxbridge native tied for the west division scoring title, averaging 4.2 points per set. She was second in swing percentage and became just the 11th division scoring champion in program history.

Joining Ellis and Dodd as a first-team all-star was libero Alex Lachapelle who moved her way up from the 2020 all-rookie squad. Lachappelle led the team in digs and a career average of 3.92 digs per set is the highest in program history. Alex Krstonosic was once again named a first-team all-star, quietly finishing with the highest swing percentage in the province.

Humber volleyball has now received 69 OCAA all-star selections in the Coach Wilkins era.

No. 4 Humber will now compete for its 16th provincial title, opening the semifinal round against Canadore (9-1, 2nd East) on March 16. First serve is set for 8 p.m.
