Isabella Bernardi named 2023 Humber Rookie of the Year

ETOBICOKE - Isabella Bernardi made an immediate impact with Humber soccer, helping the Hawks defeat the three-time defending provincial champions in her first career start. The Richmond Hill native finished the regular season with a 6-0-2 record while recording six clean sheets.

Bernardi's stellar campaign continued into the playoffs, only allowing one tally in four OCAA postseason matches. Her biggest clean sheet came in the finals, recording six saves against top-ranked Seneca as Humber captured its first provincial title since 2012.

Her brilliance between the pipes continued into the indoor season, as Humber once again captured the OCAA gold medal. Bernardi recorded eight saves to keep Humber's hopes alive, recording the clean sheet as the Hawks won in extra-time.
