Field is set for the 2021 CCAA Women's Soccer National Championship

ETOBICOKE – With the conclusion of the conference championships over the weekend, the 2021 CCAA women's soccer national championship schedule has been determined, and Humber will now be welcoming the top seven programs in the country from Nov. 10-13.

The eight-team tournament will feature the CCAA debut of the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC), which will send its conference champion Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges.

The MCAC representative will be joined by champions from the Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST), Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC), Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA), Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) and Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA).

Winning six consecutive national titles, the RSEQ sits atop the CCAA Wildcard standings in women's soccer and receives an additional berth at nationals. The Vanier Cheetahs and Sainte-Foy Dynamiques will be the RSEQ representatives.

The ACAC will send the SAIT Trojans, while the ACAA will send the Holland Hurricanes. The PACWEST will send the Capilano Blues, while the OCAA will be represented by the three-time conference champion Fanshawe Falcons and the host team, Humber Hawks.

The 30th instalment of the championship tournament will take place at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan. Humber last hosted the women's national championship in 2009, finishing in fifth place after dropping its first two matches in penalty kicks. The Hawks have made eight national championship appearances, reaching the final four, five times, capturing three CCAA bronze medals (2000, 2008, 2010).

The RSEQ conference leads the CCAA with 15 national titles, followed by the PACWEST with 11. Garneau has become a national power, winning six of their 10 CCAA titles over the last decade. Despite eight CCAA medals – three from Humber – the OCAA has yet to win a national championship in women's soccer.

The entirety of the national championship will be streamed live online via the Hawks Sports Network on CCAA LIVE, and live statistics will be available on ccaa.ca.

For those looking to attend the tournament in person, ticket sales will be made available at the venue on November 10 and only tournament passes will be available for $20.00 cash. Single-game tickets will not be available and debit/credit purchases will not be accepted. Capacity limits will be in accordance with public health regulations.
