Hayley McCallum named Humber's Female Athlete of the Year for the second straight season

ETOBICOKE - Humber women's golf once again captured the OCAA championship, as Hayley McCallum became the first player in program history to finish on the podium in four consecutive seasons.

On a difficult track at Deer Creek Golf Club, Hayley McCallum went the distance, capturing her first individual CCAA national title. In a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard after round one, McCallum used a two-over-par 74 to give herself a seven-stroke lead and never looked back.

The Mississauga native was the only golfer in the field to score in the seventies every round and became just the second female golfer in program history to win the individual title. To add to her already impressive resume, McCallum earned CCAA All-Canadian honours for the fourth time in her career, becoming just the second player at Humber – across all sports – to accomplish the feat.

McCallum is now the fourth player at Humber to earn consecutive Female Athlete of the Year honours.
