ETOBICOKE – With the conclusion of the conference championships over the weekend, the 2023 CCAA men's volleyball bracket has been determined. Humber will now be welcoming the top collegiate programs in the country from March 8-12.

Conferences

The six conference champions plus two wildcard winners will be attending the big dance.  The CCAA conferences are:

  • Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC)
  • Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST)
  • Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC)
  • Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA)
  • Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ)
  • Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA).
The Field

Of the eight teams in the tournament, four have captured a national title, led by the defending champions, the Camosun Chargers, with two. Joining the Chargers as the PACWEST wildcard is the VIU Mariners, who captured a bronze medal in 2019.

Humber, given a berth as the host squad, earned its spot as the OCAA champions. The 2019 national champion Fanshawe Falcons will enter the tournament as the OCAA wildcard.

The Briercrest Clippers will attend the dance after winning their second ACAC provincial title. The Providence Pilots upset CMU to earn a spot as the MCAC representatives, while the Sherbrooke Volontaires will represent the always competitive RSEQ conference. From the Atlantic will be the Sainte-Anne Dragons, who swept Holland in the conference finals.

Broadcast

The entirety of the national championship will be streamed live online via the Hawks Sports Network on CCAA Live, while the tournament schedule, statistics, and photos will be made available on ccaa.ca.

  • The ACAC leads the way with 52 CCAA medals, followed by the RSEQ at 31, PACWEST at 26, and OCAA with 17.
