No. 1 Men's Volleyball heading to OCAA Final Four

ETOBICOKE – Top-ranked Humber men's volleyball booked a spot in the OCAA Final Four after sweeping the Seneca Sting (7-3, 4th East) Saturday evening at the North Campus Gym, 3-0. The final set scores were 25-16, 25-14 and 25-15.

Three Humber players finished with double-digit points in the match as Humber's offence was on full display. Joshua Fadare recorded a game-high 18 points coming on 13 kills, three aces and two blocks. Rrezart Sadiku finished with 13 points on nine kills, two aces and two blocks, while Jaydon Milne put up a career-high with the Hawks, finishing with 10 points on five kills, four aces and one block.

Humber grabbed the momentum early in the first set, jumping out to an 11-6 lead forcing a Seneca timeout. The Hawks didn't let their foot off the gas, extending the lead to nine points, cruising to a 1-0 set lead.

Humber carried their momentum into the next set, and with an energetic crowd inside the North Campus Gym dominated the second set. The Hawks took the second in a route outscoring the Sting by 11 points. Joshua Fadare led the Hawks with seven points on four kills and three aces, while Jaydon Milne and Rrezart Sadiku had identical stat lines putting up five points on three kills one ace and one block.

It was more of the same in the third set, as Humber again built a large lead early and never looked back closing out Humber's Super Saturday in style taking this one in straight sets to advance to the OCAA semi-finals.

No. 1 Humber will now take on the Sheridan Bruins (9-2, 3rd West) in the OCAA Final Four Mar. 16, hosted by Canadore College. First serve is set for 8 p.m.
