The storyline

Top-ranked Humber men's soccer (3-0, 1st West) will host the Mohawk Mountaineers (0-3, 9th West) Wednesday afternoon at the Ontario Soccer Centre. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.

Last time out

Humber's offence was on display over the weekend, recording nine tallies in two matches on the road trip. The Hawks made a statement Saturday afternoon, beating the only other top-five nationally ranked program in the conference by three. On St. Clair's pitch, Humber won a chippy match over No. 4 St. Clair, 5-2. The next day they followed up their victory with a 4-0 clean sheet over the Lambton Lions.

  • The Mountaineers have allowed the most goals in the west division, surrendering 4.7 tallies per match to begin the year.
  • Ian Kere has scored Mohawk's lone goal, coming in a 3-1 loss to Lambton.
  • The Hawks are 23-5-7 all-time against Mohawk in the regular season, including 14-1-2 all-time at home.

On Sept. 23, the 2021 squad will receive their CCAA championship ring during Family Night at the North Campus Gym.

No Place Like Home

The 2022 OCAA Provincial tournament returns to Humber from Oct. 26-29. The Hawks will be in search of their fourth consecutive provincial title and own a 12-2 (.857) record in the postseason at home.

No. 1 Humber will head back on the road to face Redeemer (1-1-1, 4th West) at Tim Horton's field on Sept. 24. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
