Daniel Talmage named 2023 Humber Rookie of the Year
ETOBICOKE - It was an impressive rookie campaign for Daniel Talmage, who helped the men's golf team return to national prominence.
At the provincial championship in Niagara, Talmage jumped up the leaderboard on the final day, firing a three-under-par 69 to capture the individual bronze medal.
Two weeks later, Talmage and the Hawks captured the program's 11th national title – first since 2012 – by beating the André-Laurendeau Boomerang by 20 strokes. The Toronto native fired three straight rounds of 73, becoming just the fifth rookie in team history to finish on the national podium.
