Bremer lines up a putt during nationals

Bremer captures individual bronze; Men's Golf finish fifth

WINDSOR – A tournament-low 67 five-under par for Matthew Bremer in round three helped the second-year golfer capture the 2021 CCAA individual national bronze medal. As a squad, Humber men's golf finished in fifth place, missing the podium by 11 strokes.

The story of the tournament for Humber was Bremer's incredible third round, where the Toronto native finished with six birdies to record his lowest scoring round of 67. His five-under par round ties the program record, something that Humber legend's David Lang, Mark Hoffman, and Adrian Cord accomplished at the Dunes at Kamloops in 2010. Bremer finished four strokes back of Jayden Dudas from Medicine Hat, who capture the individual title.

As a squad, the Hawks finished higher than any other OCAA team and beat the defending provincial champion St. Lawrence Surge by 12 strokes, who finished in a tie for sixth with the Georgian Grizzlies.
