Humber North Intramurals

Intramurals - Fun Organized Sports
 

Also referred to as "social sports", these activities are available to students, staff & faculty, regardless of skill level or playing experience.  Intramural sports programs are designed to give participants an opportunity to learn & play various sports, earn campus recreation rewards & network with other participants while enhancing their overall campus experience.  

Programs are offered during the daytime, evening & on weekends, both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) and are divided into participant categories including:  open gender, co-ed, mixed or gender-specific & recreational or competitive.  Pre-registration is required for all programs, either as a team entry or as an individual. The opportunity to earn participation gifts & championship prizes is available in all programs.

The most common sports offered include:  badminton, basketball, cornhole, cricket, dodgeball, flag football, floor hockey, ice hockey**, indoor soccer, lacrosse, pickleball, soccer, spikeball, ultimate frisbee & volleyball.  

Additional activities include:  cornhole, giant jenga, glow games, kan-jam, ladder golf, obstacle courses, plinko, tug-o-war & washer toss.

 **Details for ice hockey:

  • Sunday nights a Westwood Arena (90 Woodbine Downs. Blvd.)
  • 17-game season (October-March)
  • Game times are 7:15pm, 8:15pm or 9:15pm each week.
  • No play during academic breaks or on long weekends.
  • Team entries (12-15 players) and individual entries welcome.
  • Cost per player is $325+HST payable in the recreation office (A131) at North Campus or in the Fitness Centre (2nd floor) at Lakeshore Campus.
