Welcome to Extramurals

Humber is a member of Ontario Collegiate Recreation (OCR), a group of collegiate professionals that organizes, sanctions and supervises a number of recreational sports activities and events among its members.

Extramural programs are designed to give students the opportunity to participate in healthy competition in various sports and activities with students from other schools, usually outside the bounds of their own campus. Humber North and Humber Lakeshore will participate as separate entities in men's indoor cricket, but will combine to be one team in all other sports.

Extramural programs are less intense than varsity programs, but more competitive than intramural programs. Because extramural tournaments and events are moderately competitive, team representatives are selected from open tryouts each year. New and returning participants should plan to attend tryouts for activities they wish to participate in.

Participants selected to represent Humber as an extramural participant are required to pay a registration fee, which helps to offset the cost of tournament entries, travel & team gear. Those in good standing are invited to attend a year-end awards banquet & dinner.

Humber North will host a number of tournaments this fall, in a variety of sports. Spectators are welcome to attend and support their respective teams where space permits -- spectator entry is free!

The sports offered include: men's basketball, women's basketball, unified basketball, men's outdoor cricket, men's indoor cricket (North), men's indoor cricket (Lakeshore), mixed dodgeball, mixed flag football, men's hockey, women's hockey, mixed indoor soccer, mixed powerlifting, mixed ultimate frisbee and mixed volleyball.
