Hawks Dominant in Inaugural Mixed Flag Football Games

Mixed Extramural Flag Football Game photo

Humber’s inaugural mixed extramural flag football team took home both wins at this year’s event hosted by University of Toronto, Mississauga.  The team was picked and lead by recreation staff members, Andrea Serna-Garcia and Julian Zamparo, both students at Humber’s north campus.  The team was dominant on the field winning 24-0 and 26-0 in consecutive games with touchdowns being scored by six different players.  Rushing players, Emma Elkerton and Aisha Yunus were successful at forcing UTM’s play and setting up the potential for multiple interceptions.  Although the team’s season is short, the dedication and skill of these players will be celebrated at the year-end banquet in April 2024.
