Bio

Mark was as key a player as there was in the incredible run of CCAA appearances and national crowns for the men's basketball teams of the 1990s. He won OCAA titles in each of the four years he played with the Hawks, and three CCAA national medals - two of which were gold.

He was the player who epitomized the defensive specialist position, a term used freely today but not truly defined in his era. He was given the task of guarding the top offensive player on the opposing team, no matter what position they played. Although his offensive numbers may have been limited due to his commitment to defence, he was recognized as an all-star in OCAA and CCAA competitions. The Humber coaches and his teammates, and more importantly the visiting teams, knew the impact Mark had on the game.
