SHUVERA EARNS ALL-CANADIAN AWARD WITH OUTSTANDING CCAA RUN

KING CITY, ON: An outstanding performance by the Humber Hawks Cross Country teams at the 2018-19 CCAA Championships hosted by Seneca College, at the King Campus. Although the Hawks will not be returning home with a medals. Both team showed outstanding individual results and pushed one another during the race despite the snowy weather. Women finished in 11th place, while the men finished in ninth.

All - Canadian Kaitlin Shuvera out did herself yet again, with a top 10 finish. Shuvera crossed the finish line in ninth place. Kayleigh Bush was the second Hawk to cross the finish, finishing in 54th. Not far behind were Ana Jaimes, Sue Yemen, Patricia Rothenburg and Kaitlyn Morgan, finishing in 69th, 79th, 82nd and 87th.

This course was tough and mother nature was not on anyone's side. Just as the gun went off to start the men's race, the snow and wind was at its worse. Following what looked like a blizzard, the men's team had an outstanding finish. Cole Czuchnicki led the men's team finishing 42nd. Then it was one after another Graiden Maynard, Joshua Heuving and Aaron Veenstra, coming in at 47th, 48th and 49th. Peter Wilson and Zac Nixon were the final Hawks to cross the finish line coming in at 71st and 82nd.

The Hawks will be taking a long needed break and recover time. It was a busy season
