No. 4 WOMEN'S SOCCER BLANK No. 11 SHERIDAN, 2-0

VAUGHAN, Ont – In a battle between undefeated teams, the No. 4 Humber women's soccer team (7-0, 1st Central) blanked No. 11 Sheridan (6-1, 2nd Central), 2-0, Wednesday night at the Ontario Soccer Centre.

Humber opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Giulia Zanardi found a loose ball in the box and made a nice pass to Rebecca Spratt – who found the back of the net for the sixth time this season.

In the 66th minute, a streaking Zanardi blew past the Sheridan defence, banking her shot off Sheridan keeper Savanna Wood.

Humber's backline continued to prove why it's the best in the league, keeping Sheridan out of scoring position for the majority of the match.

In the 79th minute, the Bruins had a corner kick and saw their best scoring opportunity thwarted by all-star keeper Vanessa Fiore, who made two diving saves to keep Sheridan off the board.
