RUGBY 7'S CONCLUDES REGULAR SEASON WITH SWEEP AT SENECA

NORTH YORK, Ont – Humber rugby sevens concluded the 2018 OCAA regular season Saturday afternoon. With a combined 53 points from all-stars Cheyenne De Luca and Christina Branch, the Hawks swept the tournament, 3-0, finishing the season with a 13-1 record.

In a rematch of last season's OCAA championship match, the Hawks steamrolled Seneca, 52-0. In two matches this year, Humber has outscored the Sting, 90-0.

Season Notes

  • Cheyenne De Luca finishes the season with 111 points, joining Charli Mocon and teammate Christina Branch as the only Humber player's to eclipse the century mark during the season.
  • Humber is 43-3 (.935) in regular season action since 2016, when rugby sevens became an official OCAA sport. 

What's Next?
Humber concludes the regular season atop the OCAA West Division and will head into the OCAA Championship as the number two seed – behind Algonquin (12-0, 1st East). The championship tournament begins Nov. 3 and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.
