The Storyline
No. 13 Humber men's soccer (7-2-1) will be making its 26th straight provincial championship tournament and will open the quarter-finals against No. 5 Algonquin (8-1) Oct. 23 at Fleming College. Game time is set for 10 a.m.
Scouting Algonquin
- The Thunder are led by 2019 scoring champion Malek Belhaj, who finished the regular season with 17 tallies.
- Algonquin's only loss this season came on Oct. 4 against Seneca, 2-1.
- These two teams met two years ago, at Fleming, in the OCAA semifinal. After 120 minutes could not decide a winner, the Thunder won in penalty kicks, 7-6.
