No. 5 MEN'S SOCCER RUNS PAST CAMBRIAN, 6-1

VAUGHAN, Ont – No. 5 Humber men's soccer (4-0, 1st Central) rolled to another victory at home, defeating Cambrian (2-3, 3rd Central), 6-1.

Cambrian opened the match playing gritty defence, limiting early scoring opportunities for the Hawks. Humber was kept off the scoreboard until the 20th minute when Jordan Piccinin snuck the ball by Cambrian keeper Kiel Kriss.

Before the break, freshman defender Riley Ferrazzo snuck into the box to give Humber a 2-0 lead at halftime.

After the break, ballhawk Luca Baldassarre scored his fifth goal of the season, becoming just the fifth player in program history to record 25 or more regular season goals.

In the 68th minute, Cambrian was able to get on the board off of a freekick when Phillipe Mian snuck the ball past a diving Nick Frenati, cutting Humber's lead to two.

After subbing into the game, Bradley Fenton scored in the 82nd minute, converting on a beautiful long pass from Federico Leal. Minutes later, Osman Hussein tried the same pass to Fenton; however, this time Fenton hit the crossbar, with the ball rebounding right to Baldassarre's boot for the easy tap-in.

As time ran out, Federico evaded numerous defenders in the Cambrian box to score his third goal of the season, securing the 6-1 victory for the Hawks.

Nick Frenati recorded his second win of the season – his seventh career regular season victory.
