UNDEFEATED TEAMS BATTLE FOR FIRST PLACE IN THE WEST

BARRIE, Ontario: The Humber Hawks men's rugby team will travel to Barrie to play the Georgian Grizzlies on Thursday afternoon, with the winner moving to the head of the pack in the OCAA West Division. Kick-off, from the Barrie Community Centre is 3:00 pm.

The Grizzlies have identical 2-0 records, with both teams only allowing a single try in the two matches. In an unusual twist, the hometown Grizzlies were awarded a default win over the short-manned Sheridan Bruins. Georgian has not played a game since the opener on September 12, spanning nineteen days between stepping on the field for a competitive game. This can be both a bonus, from a rest point of view, or a negative should rust appear from non-contact.

Humber last stepped on the field on Friday, a solid 43-0 over a rejuvenated Mohawk squad.

Due to the fact that Georgian has only played a single game, they have no players among the league leaders, but Nana Ntim and Robin Calamatta both had two tries in their opener.

The Hawks have two of the top three scorers, led by 2014 OCAA Player of the Year Johnny Sheridan and his mark of 30 points. Jonmichael Fletcher checks in five tries for 25 points.
