The Storyline
The Humber softball team (15-7, 3rd OCAA) will finish up their last two games of the regular season against the Seneca Sting (1-21, 7th OCAA) on Fri. Oct 12th. Game one is set for 6 p.m at Connorvale Park.

Last Time Out
The Hawks swept the home half of the series against the Conestoga Condors (6-14, 5th OCAA) by scores of 10-6 and 3-2. Game two saw the Hawks pull out a come from behind victory after being down by two for more than half the game.

Scouting Seneca

  • The Sting won their first game of the season against the Mohawk Mountaineers last week, 9-6, in an eight-inning game.
  • Nicole Pound leads the Sting offensively with 18 hits and 11 RBI on the year.
  • Chantal Gendron has taken the brunt of Sting pitchers this year, pitching in 93.0 innings so far, with a 7.98 ERA.

Previous Meeting
Humber swept the away half of the series against the Sting by way of 8-1 and 19-0 scores. The Hawks put up 19 runs in the first inning of game two, the highest under Coach Bowles' era.

Senior Night
Prior to the game on Friday, the Hawks will honour their seniors, Aaliyah Davidson, Bonnie Gillingham, Elisa Gregoris, Bree Donaldson, and Terah Camilleri.

Century Mark Success
Fifth-year standout Elisa Gregoris continues to do big things at the plate. Gregoris became the first player in Humber history to reach 100 career RBI. She currently sits two hits behind Humber's all-time hits leader, Bonnie Gillingham, with 137.

On Route to History
With two wins on Friday, the Hawks would finish 17-7 on the year. 17 wins would mark the most wins in Humber softball history after finishing 16-8 last year.

Star in the Circle
Fourth-year hurler, Myranda Pierson, still holds a league-leading 1.71 ERA with two games left in the regular season. Pierson's streak of scoreless innings came to an end against Conestoga after 19.1 innings.

Keep on Slugging
Humber currently boasts a .484 slugging percentage as a team with a league-leading 60 extra base hits on the year.

Beginner's Luck?
Over the past four games, freshman first-baseman, Hayley Pasma, went on a hot streak at the plate as well. She posted nine hits and six RBI throughout the four-game stretch.

What's Next?
After the conclusion of the regular season, the Hawks will head to the 2018 OCAA Provincial Championships hosted by Conestoga on Oct. 19-20 at Budd Park in Kitchener.
