The Storyline
Fresh off its second straight regular-season pennant, the Humber baseball (13-5, 1st OCAA) squad will begin its title defence at the 2019 OCAA Championship, hosted by Durham College. The Hawks open the championship Friday against Seneca (10-8, 4th OCAA). First pitch is set for 11 a.m.

Season Series
Humber took the season series against Seneca, 2-1, outscoring the Sting, 26-15.

  • Daniel Perrier led the league in slugging, finishing the season with six homers and 11 extra-base hits.
  • The Hawks are 25-3 all-time against the Sting.

Postseason Bracket
Humber will enter the tournament as the one seed, followed by St. Clair (13-5, 2nd OCAA), Durham (12-6, 3rd OCAA), and Seneca (10-8, 4th OCAA).

Hit Parade
Humber led the league in hitting, finishing with a .325 team average and 164 hits. Despite playing two fewer games than the last four seasons, Humber's seven homers are a new program best.

Record Book

Despite only playing four seasons, Sutherland is first all-time in runs scored (73), second in stolen bases (26), third in hits (79), and third in total bases (102). His career .389 batting average is third all-time behind Sean Mattson (.423) and Leonard Wood (.400).

Hough ends his career as Humber's all-time leader in wins (12), complete games (8), innings pitched (106.1), and strikeouts (78). Hough's four postseason victories are also the most in program history.

Sultan of Swat
Dennis Dei Baning finished the season with two home runs and is now tied with Brian MacDonald for most career longballs. Dei Baning ends the season with 51 career RBIs – the third-most in program history.
