Fadare, Daniel Earn Humber Student-Athlete of the Week Honours
ETOBICOKE – Fourth-year guard Jessica Daniel and freshman outside hitter Joshua Fadare have earned Humber Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honours for the week of Jan. 27 to Feb. 2.

In Humber’s home win over Niagara, Jessica Daniel recorded a career-high 15 points in just her fourth OCAA game. The sharp-shooter went off for the Hawks to seal the victory, hitting five three-pointers in the fourth quarter.
The fourth-year guard joined Humber basketball after spending the last three seasons with the Saint Mary’s Huskies (U SPORTS).

As a highly-touted recruit from the Canadian Youth National Team, Josh Fadare has surpassed the hype surrounding his freshman campaign. The Markham native helped the top-ranked Hawks win their 14th consecutive match – tying the program record from 1999.
In Humber’s 3-0 win on the road at Niagara, Josh finished with a game-high 16 points, including 13 kills on 24 swings (.417). In eleven matches this season, Josh has led the Hawks in scoring seven times and currently sits tenth in the OCAA with a 4.0 points-per-set average.
