Samuels, Campbell-Johnson Earn Humber Student-Athlete of the Week Honours

ETOBICOKE – Forward's Miea Campbell-Johnson and Cy Samuels have earned Humber Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honours for the week of Dec. 2 to Dec. 8.

Fourth-year forward Miea Campbell-Johnson is quietly putting together an all-time career. In Humber's 66-47 win over Conestoga, Miea recorded four blocked shots, surpassing Ceejay Nofuente for the most blocked shots in program history. The Brampton native finished with 12 points and became the ninth player in program history to join the 600-point club. 

Through nine games, Miea is leading the team in scoring, averaging 14.3 points-per-game.

Fourth-year forward Cy Samuels recorded his second straight double-double in Humber's 105-86 win against Conestoga. The six-foot-five forward grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds in the win - the most in a game since Tyrone Dickson grabbed 19 at Redeemer in 2016. Over Humber's last four games, the Queen's University transfer has grabbed 55 rebounds.

Through 10 games, Samuels is third in the OCAA, averaging 11.0 rebounds-per-game.
