Muir, Hough Earn Humber Student-Athletes of the Week Honours

ETOBICOKE – Softball second-year pitcher Meagan Muir and men’s baseball pitcher Steven Hough have earned Humber Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honours for the week of Sept. 9-15.

Second-year pitcher Meagan Muir continued her breakout 2019 campaign, picking up three wins for the Hawks this week to help Humber softball move to the top of the OCAA standings. The five-foot-six righty dominated from the circle, tossing two complete-game shutouts, including a 1-0 statement win over the four-time defending champion Durham Lords. In 21 innings of work, Muir allowed two earned runs, scattering ten hits while striking out 15 batters.

Fourth-year pitcher Steven Hough picked up a tough road win against the St. Clair Saints on Sept. 14. The crafty veteran spun a gem, recording his seventh career complete game. Hough scattered three hits over six innings of work and now has 15 career OCAA wins (regular and postseason). 

In five career appearances against the Saints, Hough boasts a 3-1 record with a 1.44 ERA in 34.1 innings of work.
