2020 Doug Fox Coach of the Year: Duaine Bowles

ETOBICOKE – Softball head coach Duaine Bowles, the all-time winningest coach in program history, was named the 2020 Doug Fox Coach of the Year. Named after former Humber Athletic Director Doug Fox (1990-2013), the coach of the year award is given to the coach who led their team to a successful season on and off the playing field.

In his fourth season at the helm, Coach Bowles led the Hawks to a 22-5 record, capturing the program’s first provincial title since 2013.

Coach Bowles’ modern approach at the plate had Humber’s offence firing on all cylinders all season. Led by Alexis Ferreira’s three home runs, the Hawks doubled-up the league with 15 home runs, while clinching the first division title in program history. Humber’s 74 extra-base hits were also a conference-best and new program record.

Humber’s performance in the circle improved as well, finishing with a program-low 1.68 team ERA.
