Head Athletic Therapist: 1990-1995

Cindy joined the Hawks staff in 1990, and made an instant impact. Her vision and efforts moved the athletic therapy clinic forward briskly, as great strides were made with both the physical make-up of the clinic and the development of student athletic therapy student staff. As the number of teams increased each and every year, there was a need for additional care for the ever-growing number of student-athletes. Athletic therapy students from Sheridan College were brought in and received high quality mentoring on their way to achieving certification. Perhaps the most impactful move was when she created a sports medicine team by adding Dr. Ian Cohen, which provided the best care for Hawk players on and off the field of play. Before she moved on to her present role as the Head Athletic Therapist at York University, she established a relationship with Canada Basketball that still flourishes at Humber.  Cindy has also represented Canada at many international events, including three Olympic Games.

Fun Fact: Cindy also coached at Humber, and led the Humber Hawks ski team to an OCAA Provincial gold.

The 2016 Humber Varsity Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Humber College's North Campus. Please join Cindy as she is recognized for an incredible career.
