ETOBICOKE, ON: The Humber Hawks women's and men's cross country teams will be laying it all out on the table this Saturday for the 2018-19 OCAA Cross Country Championships host by Centennial College at the University of Toronto, Scarborough campus. On Friday - The day before the race, there will be a course walk through for all athletes. This course will be new to all participating athletes.

Throughout the season the women's team hasn't been far from hitting a podium finish. In past years the Hawks have always been battling it out with one of their top competitors - The Fanshawe Falcons. This year for the women's teams it's a whole new race for everyone. It is not just one team battling to podium finish, there are a total of four teams all competing for those three spots. Fanshawe Falcons, Laurier Branford, Mohawk Mountaineers and the Humber Hawks. The most recent race results from the Centennial Invitational, the Hawks women's team finished just five points behind the Mohawk Mountaineers. Team captain, Katelyn Morgan did not lace up for this race and with only racing five runners, the Hawks had an outstanding performance.

For the men's team it is the same thing. It isn't just one college competing for the championship title, it's four - St. Clair Saints, Fanshawe Falcons, the Mohawk Mountaineers and Humber Hawks. The Hawks men's cross country team has been finishing fourth as a team for all invitational. With that being said, each race the men's team has either been one or two points away from a podium finish. In the most recent race, at Centennial, the Sheridan Bruins knocked out one of the Hawk's top competitors, the Mohawk Mountaineers. With Sheridan taking their place, Humber was still able to capture fourth place and place a head of the Mohawk Mountaineers.

As our Hawks take the line this Saturday we wish them good luck!
