CROSS COUNTRY SET FOR FINAL TUNEUP BEFORE PROVINCIALS

TORONTO, Ont – No. 7 Humber cross country will compete this Saturday at the Centennial Invitational, held at Centennial College. The women's 6k is scheduled to go off at 11 a.m. and the men's 8k at noon.

The Race
Saturday's race will be the fourth of the season for Humber cross country as the Hawks prepare for the OCAA Championship on October 28.

Hitting The Trail
The No. 7 Humber women's team is one of four OCAA programs in the CCAA top-15 rankings and sit two spots behind No. 5 Fanshawe for tops in the province.  Humber has found the podium in all three meets this season, finishing second behind Fanshawe each time.

On the No. 7 men's side, Humber is the third highest ranked OCAA program, coming in behind No. 3 Fanshawe and No. 5 Sheridan. 

Last Time Out
Led by All-Canadian Kaitlyn Shuvera's fourth-place finish, the Hawks finished second at the Seneca Invitational with a team total 48 points.  Competing on the 6k course, Humber placed four runners inside the top-20.  Joining Shuvera in the top-20 were Katelyn Morgan (13th), Maxine Cotton (14th), and Marcia Coelho (17th). 

Led by Aaron Veenstra's seventh-place finish, the men's program finished third at Seneca, with a team total 46 points.  Jacob Campbell (9th), Jake Thomson (13th), and Graiden Maynard (17th) rounded out the scoring for the Hawks.
