HAWKS COMPLETE IMPROBABLE COMEBACK TO STAY PERFECT

HAMILTON, ON: It looked like the Hawks streak of 133 straight OCAA regular season and playoff wins was in serious jeopardy on Friday night against the host Mohawk Mountaineers. Humber dropped the first two sets, and after snaring the third, found themselves down 17-9 in the fourth and possibly last set of the match. An incredible run brought them all the way back, and actually winning by a score of 25-22, based on a run of 16-5 to end the set. The fifth was tight over the first few points, but it was Humber held a small lead most of the way. In fact, they held a three point lead into the early teens. Mohawk would not go away and were a single point away from pushing the marathon match into extra points in the final set. The Hawks scored the final point to win the set 15-13 and the match 3-2.

With the win, the Hawks record improves to 4-0 on the season. Mohawk drops to 1-3.
