NEWMAN, O’CONNOR, MILETIC NAMED OCAA ALL-STARS

WINDSOR, Ont:  Alexandra Newman, Devan O'Connor and Gabie Miletic have been named OCAA All-Stars, announced by the league at Friday morning's awards banquet.

Newman wrapped up her regular season career with a perfect 90-0 record in OCAA league play and has now been named a first team all-star for the third consecutive season.  The Kitchener native finished the season ranked ninth in blocks (92) and blocks per set (0.62).

In her second season in the blue and gold, O'Connor was named a first team all-star after finishing second in the west division in scoring, averaging 4.0 points per set.  The Milton native led the Hawks in kills (149) and service aces (34).

Also in her first season with the Hawks, Miletic was named a second team all-star after finishing fourth in the league averaging 7.55 assists-per-set.   A setter from Windsor, Miletic played an important role as Humber finished the season averaging a league best 15.8 points per set. 

The trio of student-athletes lead Humber into the OCAA Championships as the one seed, where the Hawks will take on Loyalist tonight at 6 p.m. The match can be seen live here.
