Women's Soccer Sneak By Conestoga Saturday, 2-1

KITCHENER – Humber women's soccer (1-1-1, 5th West) picked up its first win of the young season, beating Conestoga (2-1, 4th West) Saturday afternoon, 2-1.

Humber got on the board early when freshman Catarina Medeiros recorded her second goal of the season.

After Conestoga scored to begin the second half, the Hawks looked like they would escape with another draw. With less than ten minutes remaining, 2018 rookie of the year Lily Campbell scored the game-winning goal for Humber, recording her third tally of the season.

Humber will conclude its three-match road trip in Southwest Ontario beginning Sept. 21 at St. Clair (2-0, 2nd West) at 2 p.m. The Hawks will wrap up the trip with Lambton (0-2, 8th West) on Sept. 22 at 1 p.m.
