The Storyline

Last Time Out
In a controversial match to open the season, Humber fell to the Niagara Knights on Sept. 6 in Welland, 3-2. Lily Campbell recorded both goals for the Hawks.
The loss snapped Humber's OCAA regular season win streak at 20 – one shy of the program record set in 2001.
Scouting Fanshawe
- The Falcons captured the OCAA title last season with a 3-2 win over Humber.
- Fanshawe features the two-time lead scoring champion Jade Kovacevic, who scored 30 goals in 10 matches last season. The fifth-year striker has recorded 79 tallies in three-plus seasons in the OCAA.
- The Hawks are 3-2-3 all-time against the Falcons at home.
Previous Meeting
Humber's bid for the program's eighth provincial title last season came up short with a 3-2 loss to the Falcons. Despite trailing for the first time all season, the Hawks rallied to bring the difference to one goal when Giulia Zanardi converted a penalty kick in the 90th minute to force overtime.
In the early minutes of the extra frame, Nicole Nielson scored the game-winner for Fanshawe.
Home is Where the Heart is
Humber has won 11 consecutive matches at home – the second longest streak in program history. The Hawks are 80-8-12 (.860) all-time when playing at home in the regular season.
