OFFENCE CONTINUES TO ROLL AS No. 4 HUMBER BLANK THE HUSKIES, 4-0

TORONTO, Ont – The No. 4 Humber women's soccer team (9-0-0, 1st Central) moved closer to its second consecutive undefeated season, with a 4-0 win over George Brown (2-5-2, 4th Central) Friday night at Esther Shiner Stadium.

Humber opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Giulia Zanardi found the back of the net for her team-leading eighth goal of the season.

Just over ten minutes later, Emily Tirabassi scored, giving the Hawks a 2-0 lead.

Humber dominated possession in the opening frame, firing 17 shots in the first half. Syd Greenberg made nine saves for the Huskies, keeping George Brown in the game.

After the break, Stephanie Gutierrez scored in the 49th minute, followed by a tally from Nicole Lyon in the 51st minute.

George Brown had its best scoring opportunity late in the match, but freshman keeper Courtney Nadeau was in place to make to the save.

Vanessa Fiore started in net for the Hawks, picking up her eighth win of the season.
