Humber Soccer Adds Senfner for 2018 Season

ETOBICOKE, Ont – The Humber Hawks women's soccer program – winners of seven OCAA provincial titles – have signed standout Breanna Senfner for the upcoming 2018-19 varsity soccer season, announced co-head coach Vince Pileggi.

"We are very excited to have Breanna join the Hawks family," said Coach Pileggi, who surpassed the 200-win plateau last season. "She is a very exciting player is who known for her physicality and powerful shot. She is a strong, intelligent, left-footed striker who will make an immediate impact on our already deep roster."

Senfner joins the Hawks with OCAA soccer experience after spending two seasons with the Conestoga Condors. In 20 regular season matches, she scored 11 goals, including one in a 4-1 loss to Humber on Sept. 13.

"Competing against Humber during my two years in the OCAA was always a challenge, and I wanted to be a part of that," Senfner said. "I also like how they offer the VAC [varsity academic centre] to help student-athletes be successful in the classroom, as well."

A graduate of Grand River C.I. in Kitchener, Ont., Senfner competed at OFSAA for the Renegades three times, medaling twice in soccer.

Senfner has enrolled in the Sport Management program, a three-year advanced diploma at Humber College.

"I feel that the sport management program will be a perfect fit for me," added Senfner. "I've been playing soccer since I was two years old and ideally, I'd like to give back to the soccer community upon graduation.

Senfner joins a Humber squad that finished the 2017 outdoor season with a 12-1 record, capturing the OCAA silver medal. The Hawks captured the programs second consecutive indoor medal in March, only allowing one goal in six matches.
