WOMEN ROLL THROUGH REGIONALS WITH PERFECT 3-0 RECORD, ADVANCE TO PROVINCIALS

ANCASTER, ON: The Humber Hawks women's indoor soccer team, two-time defending OCAA champions rolled over the competition at their regional play-downs.

For their efforts, Humber was crowned regional champions.

The Hawks had their toughest battle of the day in the opener, downing Conestoga 2-0. They then went on scoring sprees in the next two games, defeating Sault 6-0 and then finishing the day with a 5-0 win over the host Redeemer Royals.

Claudia Piazza led the team on the day with 4 goals. Giulia Zanardi and Rebecca Spratt chipped in with two each. Singles went to Dominika Philip, Samantha Gillingham, Breanna Senfner, Lily Campbell and Shaniece Bennett.

Humber will now play in the 2019 OCAA Women's Indoor Soccer Championship on March 21 & 22, 2019, at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan.
