RUGBY 7'S WIN STREAK SNAPPED AT 32, FINISH CROSSOVER TOURNAMENT 4-1

PETERBOROUGH, Ont – Humber rugby sevens competed in the first-ever crossover tournament hosted by Fleming College. Led by Christina Branch's team-high 43 points, the Hawks escaped with a 4-1 record, increasing its lead in the west division to three games.

In five matches, Branch scored five tries and kicked nine converts.

Day two featured the heavyweight bout between Humber and undefeated Algonquin. The Hawks had trouble scoring against the size of the Thunder and trailed 10-0 until Branch scored with no time remaining. The loss to Algonquin snapped Humber's 32-game regular season win streak, the longest mark in OCAA history.

What's Next?
Humber will compete in one final tuneup before the 2018 OCAA Championship. The Hawks will head to Seneca College Oct. 20 for their final three regular season games.
