MEDICINE HAT, Alb. – The No. 7 Humber women's golf team will play for its fifth CCAA Championship title this week at Desert Blume Golf Course in Alberta. The tournament will consist of four 18-hole rounds. Tee times have yet to be announced.

Last Time Out
Freshman All-Canadian Hayley McCallum (92-84-76 – 252) saved her best round for last, shooting a tournament-low three-over par to capture the silver medal at the OCAA Championship. Teammate Olivia Banton (92-96-95 – 283) captured the individual bronze medal and Humber recorded a double podium finish for the eighth time in program history.

Last Year
At the Royal Ashburn Golf Course in Oshawa, Humber shot 91-over par and missed a podium finish by nine strokes.

Sonia Nagindas (86-81-82-81 – 330) finished in sixth place, five-strokes removed from a top-three finish.

The Field
No. 7 Humber will be joined by No. 1 UBC Okanagan (PACWEST), No. 2 Medicine Hat (ACAC), No. 3 d'Andre-Laurendeau (RSEQ), No. 4 VIU (PACWEST), No. 5 Fanshawe (OCAA), and No. 6 Red Deer (ACAC).

Scouting Humber
Humber enters the Championship with one tournament victory this season, finishing first at the Lakehead Invitational, where freshman Hayley McCallum finished second overall.

Scouting the Field
UBC Okanagan (PACWEST) enter the tournament as the top-ranked program in the country. The Heat have won all four tournaments they've played in this season, including the PACWEST Championship. UBC Okanagan is was led by freshman Samantha Copeland and Rebecca Reitsma.

The Course
Desert Blume Golf Club will play host to the 72-hole event from Oct. 15-19, 2018. Desert Blume is a world-class golf course featuring pristine conditions in a beautiful desert setting.

The par-72 course extends to 6,835 yards from the black tees.
