Women's Basketball Rolls to Third Straight Victory

HAMILTON – Humber women's basketball swept its three-game road trip, defeating Mohawk (1-3, 7th West) Saturday afternoon, 86-41.

Miea Campbell-Johnson led the team in scoring with 17 points, finishing 8-for-16 from the floor. Jahnae Gyles, Ivana Twumasi, and freshman Kia Watt each finished with 14 points, while Teija Wareham rounded out Humber's double-digit scorers with 10 points.

The Hawks jumped out to an early lead and went the distance, finishing with a season-low five turnovers on the day.

Humber used a 34-3 run in the first half to cruise to an easy victory and finished with a season-high 41.7 percent (5-for-12) from three-point range.

  • Humber improves its win streak against Mohawk to 14 consecutive games and is now 51-17 (.750) against the Mountaineers all-time.
