NOFUENTE SHINES IN CANADA VICTORY OVER MOZAMBIQUE
AUSTRALIA: Hawks superstar Ceejay Nofuente recorded her best game at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, leading Canada to an 85-53 win over Mozambique. With the win, Canada moves to 2-1 in pool play, and will finish the opening round in second place.
Nofuente led the team in minutes played (28:17) and assists (6), while hitting for double figures with 12 points (3-5 FG, 3-5 from 3, 3-3 FT). She was second on the team in +/-, with a superb mark of +28.
Ruth Hamblin and Daneesha Provo led Canada with 13 points. Alex Kiss-Rusk also hit for double figures, with 10.
Canada have advanced to the Commonwealth games semi-final on April 13. An opponent has yet to be named.
