WELLAND, Ont -- Jahnae Gyles scored a season-high 28 points, and No. 1 Humber used a big start to cruise to a 102-50 win over Niagara on Friday.
After the Knights (6-3, 5th West) scored the first basket of the game, Humber's top-ranked defence allowed the offence to score easy baskets, using a 16-0 run to end the first quarter with a 30-5 lead. Gyles finished 4-of-5 from the floor in the opening period, scoring 11 of Humber's 30 points. The Hawks' defence held the Knights to a season-low 12.5 percent from the floor (2-of-16).
Niagara pressed in the second frame, scoring a game-high 17 points, shooting 42.9 percent (6-of-14) from the floor; however, Humber (11-0, 1st West) was able to match Niagara bucket for bucket, taking a 25-point lead into the half.
After the break, the Hawks would add to their lead, tying a season-high 36 points in the third quarter. Ceejay Nofuente went 5-of-5 from the floor in the period and finished the game with 22 points, 11 steals, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Aleena Domingo recorded her third double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Humber's defence held the Knights to a season-low 50 points, forcing 29 turnovers.

What's Next
