The Storyline
Top-ranked Humber women's basketball will be concluding the first half of its 2017-18 schedule Friday evening when they head to Welland for a matchup with Niagara (6-2, 5th West). The game will be available live online, with tipoff set for 6 p.m.
Last Time Out
Humber established a new OCAA record Nov. 29, defeating UTM (3-6, 9th West), 94-54, at the North Campus Gym.
The win was Humber's 68th consecutive regular and postseason conference victory, breaking the mark of 67 established by head coach John MacInnis and the Algonquin Thunder from Nov. 2011 – Jan. 2015. The Hawks matched that mark with a 28-point win over No. 15 Fanshawe three days prior.
Ceejay Nofuente paced the way for Humber with a quadruple-double, finishing with 15 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists, and 11 steals. Aleena Domingo finished with a game-high 22 points and added ten rebounds, while Felicia Velasquez and Miea Campbell-Johnson recorded 11 points each.

The Hawks have scored 90-plus points in nine consecutive games this season, the longest streak in the Ajay Sharma era. Humber's previous high was two (six different occasions).

The Knights enter this contest red-hot, sitting on a five-game win streak, outscoring their opponents by 14.8 points per game. Mary Ingribelli – fifth all-time on Niagara's career scoring list – is sixth in the league in scoring, averaging 18.3 ppg. Courtney Kilyk is leading the team in rebounds (62) and assists (35).

Nofuente now sits seventh on the OCAA all-time scoring list with 1,104 career points, five points behind three-time scoring champion Lindsay Panchan's (Durham 2014-17) mark of 1,109.
At the Helm
Ajay Sharma returns to the sidelines for his seventh season and is seven wins from tying Humber Hall of Famer Jim Henderson (1991 – 2000) as the all-time winningest head coach in program history.
Sharma has directed the Hawks to a period of unprecedented prosperity in the form of three consecutive CCAA tournament appearances – including the first national championship in program history – and three straight provincial titles. Sharma owns a 125-22 (.850) career record.
What's Next
With the conclusion of the OCAA season for 2017, Humber will head south to participate in the Daytona State Holiday Classic Dec. 29-30. The Hawks will play against the Daytona State Falcons and Chipola Indians, both members of the NJCAA.
