The Storyline
Looking for its 67th consecutive OCAA regular and postseason win, No. 1 Humber women's basketball will have a chance to tie history Sunday afternoon against No. 15 Fanshawe. The game will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network at 1 p.m. with Mohammad Khosroshahi and Mark Harrison on the call and Dani Dupuis reporting from the sidelines.
Last Time Out
Ceejay Nofuente, Aleena Domingo, and Beryl Mefful each recorded a double-double as Humber routed Sheridan (3-4, 7th West), 103-32, at Davis Campus.
Doubling Down
Humber has now recorded seven double-doubles in eight games this season.
Give Me That Board
Humber dominated the glass, outrebounding Sheridan 83-29, marking the first time the Hawks had 80-plus rebounds in a game since Jan. 13, 2016 at Cambrian.
Scouting Fanshawe
The Falcons (7-1, 2nd West) are winners of four straight, their last loss coming Nov. 8 at Mohawk, 77-76. Mikhaila Wright leads all Fanshawe scorers, averaging 14.1 points per game.
As a team, the Falcons rank second in the league behind Humber in field goal percentage, shooting 42.4 percent (240-of-556) from the floor.
In its 65-53 win against Redeemer, Wright finished with 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Last Meeting
In the 2017 OCAA semifinal, Humber came away with 70-51 victory over Fanshawe, before eventually capturing its third straight provincial title. Aleena Domingo finished with a 17-point, ten-rebound double-double in the win, while Ali Vlasman finished with a team-high 26 points for the Falcons.
Chasing History
Sitting at 66 straight wins, only Algonquin – 67 straight from Nov. 11, 2011, to Jan. 15, 2015 – has put together a longer win streak in OCAA history than Humber.
The Hawks have won three-straight OCAA titles from 2014-17, one away from joining Algonquin, who won four-straight from 2011-15.

Nofuente now sits ninth on the OCAA all-time scoring list with 1,060 career points, seven points behind Erin Emery's (Durham 2007-12) mark of 1,067.
At the Helm
Ajay Sharma returns to the sidelines for his seventh season and is nine wins from tying Humber Hall of Famer Jim Henderson (1991 – 2000) as the all-time winningest head coach in program history.
Sharma has directed the Hawks to a period of unprecedented prosperity in the form of three consecutive CCAA tournament appearances – including the first national championship in program history – and three straight provincial titles. Sharma owns a 124-22 (.849) career record.
