No. 3 Men's Volleyball Takes Down Niagara, 3-1

ETOBICOKE – No. 3 Humber men's volleyball earned its first win of the season, taking down the Niagara Knights, 3-1. The Hawks' win came by set scores of 25-27, 25-21, 25-20, and 34-32.

Freshman Joshua Fadare put the league on notice in his OCAA debut, leading Humber's attack with a match-high 16 kills, while senior middle blocker Andrew Blakey and Rrezart Sadiku added 14 points, each. Eduardo Silva Ferreira recorded a .500 hitting percentage off 11 kills and only one error.

After dropping a close first set, the Hawks were able to rally to win the next two sets.

Niagara's defence was exceptional all night, consistently making digs off of Humber blocks to stay in the match.

The Hawks trailed for most of the fourth set, before tying the game at 16. Both teams exchanged points until Niagara led 24-22, and Coach Wilkins called a timeout. A quick kill from Josh Fadare and a service ace from Jake Gomes tied the set at 24. The two teams once again exchanged points up to 30, when Rrezart Sadiku served out to seal the win.
