HAWKS FACE NEMESIS SAINTS THIS SATURDAY IN WNDSOR

After a successful weekend in Sudbury, the Humber men's volleyball team is set to travel to Windsor this Saturday to play the St. Clair Saints, in what is guaranteed to be an intense match. 

THE MATCH-UP

LATS TIME OUT VS ST.CLAIR

The last match between these two teams was on January 14th, which was won by Humber.  After being down two sets, the Hawks soared and completed an intense comeback victory. (20-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-23, 16-14) 

SCOUTING ST. CLAIR

  • The Saints are very young, and have nine rookies and only four returning players
  • Outside Hitter Michael Knight leads the Saints with 22 kills this season
  • So far, they have a total of 73 kills to the 18/19 season
  • The Saints sit behind in all-time match-ups with the Hawks, trailing Humber 19-6 in all-time regular season play. Until Humber won last January, the Saints had won four straight meetings between the two teams 

HAWK NOTES

  • The Hawks welcomed Rookie Rafael Hilário last week, and he responded by leading the team in points against Boreal, with 10
  • The Hawks have only lost two sets so far this season
  • Kamyn Wilkins led the Hawks offensively vs Cambrian, with 13, and leads the team on the year with a mark of 4.9 points per set average 

HISTORY WATCH

  • Head coach Wayne Wilkins now has 336 game wins under his belt, placing him just eight wins behind his brother and women's volleyball coach Chris Wilkins.
