MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ADDS DYNAMIC MIDDLE TO 2018 CLASS

ETOBICOKE, Ont -- The Humber men's volleyball program is pleased to announce the signing of middle blocker Maximum Crowder for the upcoming 2018-19 varsity season, announced head coach Wayne Wilkins.

Crowder, a six-foot-seven middle blocker from Lively, Ont., joins the Hawks after playing with the Barrie Elites of the OVA. The Barrie Elites captured the 18U Division 1 Tier 2 Provincial Championship this past April.

"Max brings a lot of experience in the middle position, along with some size and athleticism," said Coach Wilkins, who owns a 333-119 record all-time at Humber. "He will have his work cut out for him in the OCAA but I know he is up for the challenge and I'm expecting him to make a lot of progress in his rookie season."

Crowder has enrolled in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology program, a three-year advanced diploma at Humber College.

"The Hawks feature an up and coming team with a great coach," said Crowder when asked why he chose Humber College. "They have a great team environment, and I really like the student-athlete facilities."

Crowder and incoming recruits Eric Renaud and Jacob Albert will join the team this July when training camp begins.
