  • Wesley Lau is having a marvellous season, and ranks among the best offensive players in the league with an average of 4.1 points per set
  • Ryan Clutton has carried the setting load, and has amassed 302 assists on the season, good enough to place him sixth in the league

HAWK NOTES

  • With the battle to be among the best in the West and obtain a home playoff game, the coaching staff knows they cannot take a night off, so look for the Hawks to bring out all the big guns to grab a road win
  • Humber has been climbing in the team statistical categories, and everything points to a team that plays solid defence  (4th in blocks) and then transitions it over to an offence that is directed by its two great setters (2nd in assists). As well, they continue to serve tough, ranking third in the league
  • Dylan Devecseri's individual stats have dipped slightly, but his commitment to his complete game has never wavered. Humber has not lost a match since he entered the lineup in game four of the season. He still tops the Hawks list with a mark of 3.7 pps. Wilkins and Clayton Blanchette are not far behind, at 3.2 pps
  • Setting has been incredibly strong, as the duo of Rady Kim (216 assists) and Jake Gomes (127 assists) are among the best in the league

HISTORY WATCH

  • Head coach Wayne Wilkins is not going away, as with eight straight wins, is staying close to brother Chris's all-time Hawk coaches win record with 324 victories
  • Clayton Blanchette has moved up in a number of Humber all-time records, and now sits third in kills (555), and fourth in service aces (70) and fifth in points (665). Based on his averages, he should advance to fourth, possibly third in points, but is a stretch to eclipse anyone else in aces and kills
