MARATHON MEN STRIKE AGAIN FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WIN

MARATHON MEN STRIKE AGAIN FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WIN

OAKVILLE, ON: For the second time in the first six games of the season, the Humber Hawks men's volleyball (4-2, 4th West) team once again won a marathon match, this time a 3-2 (17-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-23, 15-13) road victory in Oakville over the Sheridan Bruins (2-3, 7th West).

With the win, the Hawks have run their win streak to three games.

This match was truly a back-and-forth affair, with each team securing a lead and then carrying it home for set win. The only difference was that the Bruins were more dominant in their two set wins, not allowing the Hawks a chance to close the gap at any point. The Hawks had to battle in every set win, and that was very evident in the fourth set. With the Hawks holding a slim one point lead at the 20 point mark, the scraped their way to the two-point win. The final set was much closer than the 15-10 score would indicate.

Humber will return to the court this coming Wednesday, as they host the Niagara Knights (4-1, 2nd West) at the Humber Athletic Centre with a first serve set for 8:00 pm.
