LONDON, Ont. -- The Humber men's volleyball team (1-2, 7th West) suffered its second straight OCAA loss at the hands of No. 7 Fanshawe (4-0, 1st West) on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks went toe-to-toe with the Falcons in the scorebook, narrowly missing a chance to upset the top-ranked program in the West Division.
2016 scoring champion Clayton Blanchette paced Humber with 18 kills and a .333 hitting percentage. The third-year outside hitter added two blocks, six digs, one ace and a team-high 21 points to his performance in the four-setter. Kamyn Wilkins had 13 kills and two aces, while Rady Kim had a team-high 30 assists.
Defensively, four different Humber players tallied five or more digs, led by Alex Bowden with 12 and Quinton Hudgins with eight.
Humber struggled when Fanshawe was in the position to serve, the Falcons' 11 aces making an impact on the final scoreline. Humber and Fanshawe were nearly even in kills (45-43, Fanshawe), assists (44-41, Fanshawe), and blocks (8-5, Fanshawe).
Humber rolled out to a 25-23 first set win, backed by a .440 hitting percentage. Unfortunately for Humber, the Hawks' attack slipped over the next three sets, unable to score above .273 for the rest of the match.

Humber will conclude its three-game road trip Friday, Nov. 10 at Mohawk (1-2, 7th West). First serve is set for 8 p.m.
