Men's Soccer Drop Bronze Semifinal in Penalty Kicks

OSHAWA – The Humber men's soccer team fell in penalty kicks (5-4) to Douglas after a 1-1 draw Friday morning at Vaso's Field.

Set pieces were Humber's Achilles heel all tournament long and the Royals took advantage in the 14th minute. A corner kick found the head of Burhan Waisy, and Douglas took the early lead, 1-0.

Before the end of the half, Humber found the equalizer when Andres Sanchez found Aziah Reid at the top of the box for his first career CCAA tally.

The Hawks dominated the second-half but was unable to beat Douglas keeper Felipe Domingos and was once again forced to decide a winner in penalty kicks.

Michael Fayehun, Aziah Reid, Damion Kaye, and Uday Arora scored in penalty kicks.

Nicholas Frenati once again did a brilliant job between the posts, making a big save and guessing right on three other shots.
